QUANTITY SURVEYOR

REPORTING TO – Managing Director
JOB ROLE
To manage all commercial aspects of the business in relation to current and future contracts.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 
• Possess a relevant degree qualification from a higher education institution, or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years QS experience in a similar role.
• Experience with a specialist subcontractor is preferred, but not essential.
• Proficient knowledge of contract law and conditions of contract.
• Strong leadership and decision making skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness.
• Effective organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient IT skills and displayed competence in using MS applications.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts.
• Financial monitoring and reporting in line with company procedures.
• Managing and reporting on all project contractual issues.
• Preparation and placing of subcontractor/supplier orders, including monitoring costs, waste and certifying payments.
• Preparation of weekly labour/subcontract wages, including all analysis and reconciliations.
• Maintaining and monitoring all company systems and procedures.
• Supervising and coaching our surveying/estimating team.
• Communicating professionally with clients, both verbally and written.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform varied and differing tasks corresponding to your position within the company and the overall business objectives of the organisation.
